About Delaware Valley Concrete
Charles W. Diliberto and his wife, Frances, founded Delaware Valley Concrete Co., Inc., a Pennsylvania Corporation, in 1955.
They began the operation from their current address in Hatboro, PA. From its humble beginning; working with limited facilities and equipment, Mr. Diliberto built a financially sound company. With his eye on the future, he promoted his son, Mario Diliberto to Vice President. Together, they expanded the original Hatboro Concrete Plant into a modern facility and built new and larger administrative offices. In the mid-1980’s, DVC acquired its own aggregate source along the Delaware River.
The mid 80’s also showed a growing pattern for DVC and provided the founder, Mr. Diliberto, (affectionately known to his employees as “Charlie”), an opportunity to enjoy a healthy retirement in the south while having his son Mario succeed him to the Presidency.
The late 80’s, 90’s, 2003 and 2006 saw further expansion with the acquisition of New Britain, Conshohocken, Kennett Square, Coatesville and Malvern plants. This provided DVC with nine operating concrete plants and afforded DVC an opportunity to secure its portion of a growing competitive market.
With the guidance of Mario and his wife Lisa, they have created and continue to create a business model that allows for employees to grow their future with the company. Most recently, in 2019 and the first quarter of 2020, the owners invested into their employees growth by sending all the employees to The Collaborative Way Training. This training fosters positive communication and overall growth for all the employees involved.
Today, with uncertain times due to the Coronavirus, DVC has done everything it can to ensure two things. The first is to ensure that all employees are safe by following all the protocols as advised by the Federal, State, and Local officials, and second, ensuring that the employees that have dedicated and entrusted the company with the livelihood of their families, have continued employment throughout this Pandemic.

We have been around for 65 years because we focus on our employees. We follow the same model that has allowed us to grow, which is “family”. We offer our employees a place to start their career, not just a job. A place where are employees are not just another number, but a valued member of our family whose voice is heard. As we continue our journey, we are looking for family members that are ready to grow as we grow. It is not uncommon for you to see an employee that has worked for 10, 15, 20, or more years with DVC. We have provided many of our family members with a career and we would be honored to have you become part of our family.
