An introduction to us
At Forest Holidays, our purpose is to create authentic experiences in Britain’s amazing forests; connecting people, nature and local communities.

We are privileged to be situated in beautiful corners of the UK’s forests. Our promise, hand in hand with our local partners, Forestry England, Forestry and Land Scotland and Natural Resources Wales is to help the forests thrive, so that they are better than ever for future generations.
Nurturing our people
Our guests tell us that our holidays in the forest are unique and allow them to relax and feel renewed. Opening up the benefits of nature to our guests and the wider community, our team are the people who bring our purpose to life. Their roles are unlike any other in the tourism and hospitality industry, and we value their skills, expertise and passion. A love of the natural world is an important ingredient when your job is so connected to it, and when you can pass that love onto others, it can be the best job in the world.
Local work with real job satisfaction
Career development opportunities abound for those who want them. Whatever each person’s career path looks like, we value them for their individual skills, expertise and contribution.

We look after our people and we believe in supporting team members to reach their potential. We offer Management Development and Leadership Development programmes as well as professional and vocational courses. We have an employee assistance programme for advice and support and we also have Trained Mental Health Ambassadors at our support centre. With a lively and friendly workforce, team-led interest groups and social events also thrive.
Part of the local community
Playing an active part in the life of the villages and towns surrounding our locations is vitally important to us. We enhance the forest for everyone who uses it and we are proud to contribute to local life in many ways. The natural, unpackaged holiday experience that we offer means that we are rooted in our local area and, for most of our guests, exploring the area is a valued part of their holiday. Because of this, our contribution towards the Public Forest Estate goes beyond the forest itself and involves supporting sustainable tourism and being closely involved with our neighbouring communities.

Caring for Britain's Forests
People care about Britain’s forests. From climbing trees as children to the crunch of leaves on an autumn day, our connection to trees is part of our lives and that’s why our forests matter so much. At Forest Holidays, the connection runs deep – and we want to share the wellbeing benefits of woodland. To do that, we must care for the forest and help it to thrive. We do this by supporting our many partners who are specialists in forestry and wildlife, including Forestry England, Forestry and Land Scotland and Natural Resources Wales.
Investing in a sustainable future for Britain's forests
As a business, we need our woodlands to thrive so that our guests and visitors can enjoy the freedom to connect with nature. It makes sense, therefore for us to look after the forests. We also have a responsibility to manage the forests for the future, so that generations to come can enjoy them. We support the commitment outlined in the Government’s 25 Year Environment Plan, for us all to be:

"...the first generation to leave the natural environment in a better state than we found it and pass on to the next generation a natural environment protected and enhanced for the future."

Our work in and around our locations enhances and enriches the natural environment, while our financial investment supports Forestry England, Forestry and Land Scotland and Natural Resources Wales to maintain the wider public forest estate.
Our commitments to our team members over the next 5 years
We believe in meaningful careers and developing individual skills and talents. We are also committed to looking after the wellbeing of our people and building team spirit around a genuine purpose.

We have strong roots in the communities where we are based and see ourselves as part of that community and their economy. If we can buy local, we will, and we promote local producers and craftspeople in our shop and restaurant too. For us, our suppliers are part of our team.

- We want to share the benefits of local tourism and have created 600 local jobs across the UK.
- Since 2006 we have invested approximately £100 million into rural areas across Great Britain
- We are also committed to recruiting 80% of our team from local communities
- We want to support a rural business start up every year with the Prince's Countryside Fund
