Child Start

Child Start, Inc. is a nonprofit, charitable organization in operation since 1958 providing early childhood development services that prepare children for lifelong success. Administering Early Head Start, Head Start and Child Care Aware programs, Child Start works with parents, child care providers, early educators and caregivers providing a wide range of services to ensure that children enter school ready to learn. Our expertise is recognizing, evaluating and creating the kinds of environments and experiences that support important early development whether at home, in child care or in preschool. Child Start is the primary source of resources and training for child care providers and Head Start services for over 1,100 children ages 0-5 in south central Kansas.
